QCH Golden Girls

Meet the Golden Girls.

The luncheon group was founded by the late Mary Stewart, an RN at QCH, as a way to keep in touch with other nurses and ACCs who left or retired.

The monthly social event typically had about 10-15 members, but eventually the group became too large, so there was a pause. It resumed back in 1999.

β€œIt was great to see our friends since many moved on or retired. QCH is a family with friendships for life, our good and bad times bonded us together,” says Anna Santaromita, an RN at QCH.

The Golden Girls gatherings are open to everyone – retirees or not. The group has welcomed nurses, ACCs and even a couple of doctors.

If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Wendy Small at wsmall@qch.on.ca.
