Walking in support of dementia

On September 24, QCH's Geriatrics Team participated in The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County’s BrainyActive Walk. The purpose of the event is to help ensure that no one in Ottawa and Renfrew County faces dementia alone.

Together, staff from various geriatric teams at QCH joined forces to pay tribute to their own loved ones living with dementia, their patients, and other caregivers at QCH. The group consisted of staff from the following teams:

• Geriatric Emergency Management (GEM)

• Geriatric Inpatient Nursing

• Behaviour Support Clinical Service

Our Geriatrics Team raised more than $1,000 in support of our valued community partner, The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
