Celebrating Medical Laboratory Professionals Week

This week, we’re celebrating Medical Laboratory Professionals Week!

EORLA's medical laboratory professionals are the unseen champions of patient care, processing over 13 million lab tests each year.  Without them, the testing, diagnosing and treatment process in our health care system could not function. Doctors rely on the medical lab test results to contribute up to 85 percent of medical decisions and 100 percent in cases of cancer.

This week we celebrate the dedication, pride, and excellence that laboratory professionals demonstrate daily and we thank them for their continued contributions to patient care.  This includes administrative staff, technicians, technologists, pathology assistants, and pathologists.
