Megan Baker - 2023 QCH Excellence Award for Collaboration

Meet Megan Baker, recipient of the 2023 QCH Excellence Award for Collaboration.

This award is given to a person who consistently demonstrates an effective collaboration with others to produce positive results. This may be shown by seeking out different viewpoints, establishing partnerships across the hospital, building consensus, cooperative problem-solving and sharing information to contribute to help make other teams successful.

Megan is a Critical Care Pharmacist. She worked with staff and physicians to champion and rebuild all the intravenous medication titration sheets used by Nursing. She met with the end users as well as critical care physicians, and pharmacy to modify the nearly 30 protocols. She then collaborated with the Smartpump Pharmacist, the Pharmacy, and Clinical Informatics to work through the implementation challenges. Through effective collaboration, she was able to help improve the quality of care at QCH.
