Julie Constantineau - 2023 QCH Excellence Award for Innovation

Meet Julie Constantineau, recipient of the 2023 QCH Excellence Award for Innovation.

The Innovation Award is presented to a person who demonstrates innovation in the delivery of service and care. They demonstrate a commitment to innovation by striving to make things better for our patients and team members; develop and apply personal and professional knowledge in support of our mission; and seek new ways and best practices to strengthen our care.

Julie is an Executive Assistant who was a crucial member of the QCH COVID vaccine response back in the early days of 2021, when only limited doses of vaccines were available. Things were moving fast and changing constantly. QCH needed to get staff and physicians booked quickly or miss out on vaccination spots, leaving our team at risk. Julie came to the rescue with “mad office skills” to create a process to amalgamate multiple files of prioritized individuals and upload their information quickly and securely. She greatly streamlined the booking and confirmation process – enabling hundreds of individualized emails to be sent out in seconds. Without her work, the manual process would have taken hours or days. Our staff would have missed out on appointments in those early days.
