Board Member Spotlight

We continue to introduce QCH board members to showcase the expertise and passion that supports and guides our work. Today, meet our Vice Chair, Atul Aggarwal.

Vice Chair of the QCH board, Atul Aggarwal, believes the community should know how well run the hospital is. “The team does an excellent job caring for its patients, and they do it very efficiently – the operational controls and processes are excellent. The people truly care for this institution.”

Atul has some experience in this area – as President and CEO of Marcan Pharmaceuticals, a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Ottawa. He has actively worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years, has an MBA and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Atul joined the QCH board to share his significant expertise and give back to the Ottawa community – a community he joined 50 years ago, after moving to Canada from India as a baby, his first home a trailer behind the local high school in Cape Breton. In Ottawa he married, raised three children, and built two successful healthcare companies.

Atul has also volunteered his time as the Chair of the Ottawa Chapter of the Young President’s Organization and serves on the Board of Joan of Arc Academy (Past-Chair).
