Happy Earth Day! QCH’s green energy journey started in 2016 with the parking garage LED lighting project and continues with annual projects.

The most recent projects include the installation of:

  • variable frequency drive (VFD), and the conversion of

  • interior lighting to LED.

These initiatives combined with the Cogen operational change have reduced our:

  • Energy consumption by 10%, and

  • Greenhouse gas (GHG) emission by 40%!

With theses changes, QCH saves $350,000 annually while reducing QCH’s impact on climate change.
