Happy Medical Laboratory Professionals week!

QCH has a team of 65 EORLA medical laboratory professionals who provide 24/7 support to all areas of our hospital.

The team plays a vital role in patient care. 80 per cent of the decisions our doctors make rely on the results found in our lab; and 100 percent in cases of cancer.

Every year, they perform nearly 1.2 million medical laboratory tests that diagnose everything from cancer to diabetes and Covid-19.

This week we celebrate the dedication, pride, and excellence that laboratory professionals demonstrate daily and we thank them for their continued contributions to patient care. This includes technologists, technicians, pathologists, assistants, and administrative staff.
